Another successful year of summer camp! The boys had a great time earning merit badges, hiking, fishing, biking and enjoying the Adirondack Mountains. Most of them got up every morning at 4am to watch the sunrise on Duke Rock. A few other highlights of the week:
1. Red Neck Acres - Carson, Kyle and John made a super tent - Complete with double tent, thin blue line self made flag pole and add on porch and hand made railings and even a Weather rock!.

2. Kyle and John caught 4 fish during the fishing derby, a 17” largemouth ended up winning the competition. Sabattis is without a doubt a favorite fishing spot.
3. A few things we wish we had gotten pics of:
a) The Thursday evening Monsoon that swept thru camp. If your wondering how your scouts came home with a bag of dirty, muddy disgusting smelling cloths it was somewhat because of the 2+" of rain that fell between 8pm and midnight that evening. Picture the area around crooked maples as Crooked Maples Lake. The area had up to 5" of water during the hardest downpours. Of course, most of that water was surrounding Red Neck acres.......due to that being about the lowest area in camp. Luckily most of the tents faired surprisingly well during the deluge. Again, red neck acres probably had the most water intrusion of any......but mostly because they were surrounded by it. However there tent did have a few holes in it.
b) The Saturday morning post polar bear swim where the majority of the troop showed up to support Adam's swim test to root him on. I am glad to say that Adam passed and got his "Blue tag" and I want to give a special shout to John who jumped in the water with scout shorts held up by baling twine and swam along side him during the entire test! Way to go Troop 90!
c) Prior to the closing bonfire was the closing camp wide BBQ where the food was actually pretty good as opposed to the opening BBq where the hot dogs could have been used as fence posts and the burgers were just shy of hockey pucks
4. Highlight of the trip - Duke Rock sunrise pics. Here is the whole lot of them from one of the best views on camp property.
