Brian earned his Eagle Scout award by installing a stone-block walkway at Florence Brasser Elementary School with the help of 20 others. The walkway spans from the school’s front entrance to the flag pole in the front yard. It is aesthetically pleasing but also serves as a clear path in the winter for the flag-bearers to raise and lower the flag each day.
Brian earned a total of 42 Merit Badges from 2007-2013 as part of his requirement to become an Eagle Scout. A sample of some of the badges he earned were: Scholarship, Citizenship in the Community, Nation and World, First Aid, Mammal Study and Nuclear Science. Additionally, Brian participated in leadership positions within the troop and achieved Brotherhood membership within the Order of the Arrow. Brian was joined by his parents Thomas and Lisa May at the ceremony.
