Shane earned his Eagle Scout award by designing and building plywood animal dens for the Otters and Mexican Grey Wolves at the Seneca Park Zoo. Two structures were built for the otters and one larger enclosure was built for the wolves.
Shane has earned a total of 31 Merit Badges from 2007-2013 as part of his requirement to become an Eagle Scout. A sample of some of the badges he earned were: Citizenship in the Community, Nation and World, Art, Carpentry, Leatherworking, Photography and Personal Management. A minimum of 21 Merit Badges are required for any Eagle Scout.
