Scout Sunday is already one of the highlights of the BSA year and Scout Sunday 2015 was even more special this year because this year’s Scout Sunday fell on Feb. 8, the BSA’s birthday. (The Boy Scouts of America was founded on Feb. 8, 1910.) The last time Scout Sunday fell on Feb. 8 was in 2009. It won’t happen again until 2026. Our Scout troop pariticiapted in the service for the First Baptist Church of Chili, our sponsor by greeting the congregation, participate in the worship service and renewed our longstanding charter. It was a wonderful way to thank the congregation for their service as the troop’s charter organization.
